Training Courses for Australia, New Zealand and South Africa

Clipsal Integrated Systems regularly delivers concise and informative training seminars and courses worldwide, to people with various technical backgrounds. Training courses have been modularised, to provide ease of learning for attendees.

There are currently four modules, held at various times throughout the year. Each has been designed to train people in Clipsal Integrated Systems' extensive product range.

 

The four modules are:

  • C-Bus Basics
  • C-Bus Touch Screens
  • C-Bus Logic
  • Multi Room Audio

 

C-Bus Basics

Course Description

The Basic C-Bus Training Course is designed to equip the participant with the fundamental skills needed to use C-Bus. The training course focuses on constructing C-Bus networks, and programming C-Bus hardware using the Toolkit software.

 

Typical Trainee

Contractors, Security installers, AV installers and Data Comms installers who wish to install C-Bus.

 

Who Will Benefit from the Training Session

Anyone who wants to learn how to program and install a C-Bus network.

 

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the online registration.

 

Equipment Required

One laptop per attendee which meets the following specifications:

  • Windows 2000 (256Mb RAM*), Windows XP (512Mb RAM*)
  • Pentium 3, 750MHz CPU or better (or equivalent CPU from another manufacturer)
  • Screen Resolution 800 x 600 pixel, colour
  • Free space on hard-drive approx 40Mb
  • CD-ROM drive
  • C-Bus Toolkit 1.1.7 > installed (available as a free download from here)
  • Administrator Privileges on the laptop computer (for adjusting firewall settings)
  • 9PIN Serial Comport required for C-Bus Basics and C-Bus Touch Screens course**
  • Ethernet Port required for C-Bus Logic course***
* The minimum RAM requirements listed are a recommendation to ensure your computer operates at an acceptable performance level with the PICED software.

** If you require a USB>RS232 9PIN adaptor, we recommend the Dontronics adaptor available direct from www.dontronics.com/usb_232.html

*** Please contact your computers' manufacturer for recommended ethernet connection methods.

1 x 5500PC, 1 x L5508D1A, 2 x 5058NL, 1 x Training Manual, 1 x Software CD-ROM.

 

Course Duration

Approximately 3 days.

 

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the training course the trainee will be able to:

  • identify various C-Bus units
  • recall various C-Bus operating parameters
  • program C-Bus units using the C-Bus Toolkit software.

 

Cost

Prices for the C-Bus Basics training course:

  • A$1250 (inc GST) or NZ$1300 (not inc GST) for first time installers (Australia)
  • A$650 (inc GST) or NZ$600 (not inc GST) for multiple trainees from the same company or course refreshees, where no C-Bus product is provided (Australia).
  • The programming and installation course is R 4,000.00 (ZAR) exclusive of Vat (South Africa)

Prices for the C-Bus Touch Screen training course:

  • A$950 (inc GST) with kit, or A$550 for course only

Prices for the C-Bus Logic training course:

  • A$550 (inc GST) for course only

Prices for the Multi Room Audio training course:

  • A$260 (inc GST) for course only
